Butter on Toast!

We spread our delicious butter onto toast and gobbled it up. 

"Mmmmmmm!" said the Cullinane kids!
"This is the best butter we have ever had!"

We made butter!

We used cream to make butter.

Cream is the fatty layer taken off the top of the cow's milk.

We shook the cream as hard as we could in little jars.

It became whipped cream first, then turned to butter and buttermilk.
We are going to eat our butter on toast.
We will use the buttermilk in some baking.

Milkshakes!

Last week, we used milk to make a delicious banana and honey milkshake.

It was devine!

Our Farm Trip

We are learning about how milk gets to our table.

We went to the Joyce's farm to see how cows get milked.

We are looking forward to learning what happens to the milk after it gets taken away!
