Science Experiments!
In Term 4, we will be learning about Science during topic time. We will be exploring the process that scientists go through when they are doing an experiment.
Have a look at this science experiment. What do you notice happens? Can you have a go at doing this experiment at home, perhaps using different colour food-colourings. Take some photos! We will talk more about this experiment and the science process when we get back to school.

Making Flour
We are learning how flour gets to the table.
We used a mortar and pestle to grind up wheat grains.
We used a spice grinder to help turn the grains into fine flour.
We will use our flour in some baking!
Pumpkins
We sliced up a pumpkin for writing.
We used our senses to describe the pumpkin.
We followed a recipe to make delicious pumpkin soup.
The Honey Process
We have been thinking about how Honey gets to our table.
We were lucky to have a beekeeper come to our class.
Brent showed us his hive and all of the frames inside.
He showed us his smoker and his veil. Cooper tried it on!
We looked at the honeycomb and felt the wax.
