Making Flour

We are learning how flour gets to the table.
We used a mortar and pestle to grind up wheat grains.
We used a spice grinder to help turn the grains into fine flour.
We will use our flour in some baking!

    Wow! So muffins that are made of flour... are made of wheat... and wheat looks like that? What great science thinking and learning. I wonder what the machines look like in the big factories that grind the wheat seeds and granules into the soft flour we bake with?
